communities from oklahoma to maine braced for an historic snowstorm this week. schools and businesses shut down, people stocked up on food and blankets, and reporters warned residents to stay off the roads. for many, the storm came. and it was epic.
but as leslie, neighbor john, and i waited up until midnight, 1am, 1:30...we grew skeptical. stubbornly clinging to visions of snowdrifts and white outs, we drifted off to sleep. in the morning, i awoke, disillusioned:
